CCTV Operator
Pay rate: £16.71 per hour
Shift pattern: Nights only, 4 on / 4 off (7pm-6am)
Location: London Borough of Harrow, Harrow, Middlesex, HA3 8NT
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a proactive and vigilant CCTV Operator to join the Community Safety team. This is a night shift position working on a rotating 4 on, 4 off pattern across seven days, including weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
" Operate all systems within the CCTV Control Centre in a proactive and responsive manner
" Monitor live CCTV feeds in line with the CCTV Code of Practice and control room procedures
" Identify and report incidents relating to non compliance, environmental crime, public realm issues, ASB, crime and disorder
" Provide accurate observations and support to enforcement and community safety teams
" Maintain clear, concise logs and follow escalation procedures
About You:
" Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
" Ability to remain focused during long periods of monitoring
" Experience in CCTV operations or control room environments is desirable
" SIA CCTV licence preferred (or willingness to obtain)
" Comfortable working nights on a fixed rota
