Cover Supervisor

PK Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Wakefield. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

This full-time role is to start ASAP and is expected to continue on an ongoing basis, potentially until the end of the academic year.

The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting schools by delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring students remain engaged and on task.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects
Managing classroom behaviour effectively
Supporting students within the classroom environment
Encouraging participation and maintaining a productive atmosphere
Working with different year groups across secondary education

What We Are Looking For:

Graduates or aspiring teachers looking to gain school-based experience
Strong communication skills and confidence working with young people
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
Positive, adaptable, and proactive individuals
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Additional Requirements:

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle, as travel between schools may be required.

Pay:

£98 – £105 per day
