How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    This dynamic firm, established just over four years ago, is led by two highly experienced Chartered Architectural Technologists and supported by a close-knit team of professionals. Specialising in the technical delivery of residential architecture, the practice is expanding rapidly due to increased demand from volume housebuilders. With new commercial projects on the horizon, this role promises a varied and rewarding workload.

    About the Practice:

    Newly established and fast-growing architectural firm

    Team of 10 professionals over two offices with plans for expansion

    Strong focus on residential schemes with commercial work emerging

    Utilises Revit and AutoCAD as core design tools

    Offers hybrid working after probation (typically 4 days in-office, 1 day remote)

    Architectural Technologist Role:

    This permanent position is ideal for an Architectural Technologist with 5+ years of post-qualification experience, particularly in the residential sector. You’ll be responsible for producing detailed technical drawing packages, coordinating with consultants, and engaging directly with clients. The role requires autonomy, precision, and a proactive mindset.

    Key Requirements:

    Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent

    Minimum 5 years of industry experience

    Strong background in residential architecture, ideally with housebuilder clients

    Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD

    Ability to produce detailed working drawings independently

    Confident in client liaison and consultant coordination

    Positive, flexible approach to teamwork and independent work
