The Opportunity
Are you an experienced HVAC Engineer looking for a new challenge with a business that values its engineers and offers genuine long-term career progression?
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management organisation for a Field Maintenance HVAC Engineer to join their growing team. This is a mobile role covering a portfolio of large retail sites throughout the Reading region, where you'll be responsible for ensuring HVAC and air conditioning systems remain safe, compliant and operating efficiently.

The Role
Working independently across multiple sites, you'll carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, fault finding and reactive repairs on a range of commercial HVAC and air conditioning systems. You'll manage your own workload while providing an excellent level of service to customers and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain and repair commercial HVAC and air conditioning systems.
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
Work on split systems, VRF/VRV systems and packaged units.
Maintain equipment including Airedale and DX Cooling systems.
Complete service reports, compliance documentation and maintenance records.
Support wider building maintenance activities where required.
Liaise professionally with customers and internal teams.
Participate in the regional on-call rota.
What We're Looking For
Experience working as an HVAC Engineer, Air Conditioning Engineer or Field Service Engineer.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience working within a mobile maintenance or service environment.
Good understanding of health and safety and compliance requirements.
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Experience
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
Experience within Facilities Management or Retail Maintenance.
Manufacturer training or experience with Airedale, DX Cooling or similar equipment.
Multi-skilled background including electrical, gas or general building maintenance.
F-Gas certification would be advantageous.
