This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician with MOT testing experience to work within a busy workshop environment maintaining and repairing a range of vehicles and equipment.
Duties Include:
* Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on:
* HGVs
* Light commercial vehicles
* Cars
* Accessible buses
* Plant and equipment
* Diagnosing faults and repairing vehicle defects
* Completing MOT tests for Class IV, V, and VII vehicles
* Attending vehicle breakdowns and roadside incidents when required
* Carrying out taxi and private hire vehicle compliance checks
* Maintaining accurate service and repair records
* Using diagnostic equipment to identify issues
* Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
* Maintaining workshop equipment and MOT bays
Requirements:
* City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Technician qualification or NVQ Level 2 equivalent
* Nominated MOT Tester for Class IV, V & VII vehicles
* Full UK Driving Licence (Category B held for at least 2 years)
* Experience servicing and repairing HGVs, vans, cars, and plant equipment
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Good organisational and record keeping skills
* Strong understanding of vehicle electrical and diagnostic systems
Desirable:
* LGV C1 and D1 licence
* Experience with electric/hybrid vehicle repair qualifications
* LOLER tail lift inspection experience
Hours & Pay:
* Monday to Friday
* 8:00am – 3:54pm
* £17.01 - £19.27 per hour (depending on experience)
