How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The role of the Maintenance Planner is to ensure maintenance work is well planned and coordinated to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and meet safety and quality standards, while supporting the Engineering Manager for site.

    Client Details

    Our client is a a UK-based manufacturing company that produces non food FMCG products, mainly for retailers' own brands, supplying customers across Europe.

    Description

    Develop and manage maintenance schedules to minimise equipment downtime.
    Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure maintenance tasks are executed efficiently.
    Monitor and update maintenance records, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
    Manage work orders, spare parts, and resource allocation through the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
    Prepare reports on equipment performance and maintenance activities.
    Liaise with suppliers to procure necessary parts and materials for scheduled maintenance.
    Analyse maintenance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
    Work closely with production teams to align maintenance plans with operational needs.
    Collaborate with engineering, production, and HSE teams to prioritise maintenance tasks in line with operational and safety requirements.Profile

    The successful candidate will:

    Proven experience in a maintenance Engineering or Planning role ideally within a fast paced FMCG environment.
    Degree educated in relevant discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Maintenance.
    Professional certifications (preferred): CMMS training, Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), or equivalent EU-recognised qualification.
