How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Systems Engineer (MBSE Specialist)

    12 months (Inside IR35) – Reading full time on site – DV Clearance Required

    Role Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer (MBSE Specialist) to support and enhance Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices across the organisation.

    This role is focused on maintaining robust engineering models, improving system integration, and enabling effective decision-making through accurate data management, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development, maturity, and integration of MBSE capabilities across engineering functions.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Support and develop Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities, including:

    * Requirements management

    * Interface definition

    * Trade studies

    * Interdisciplinary integration and analysis

    * Maintain the consistency, integrity, and usability of engineering models across the user community

    * Optimise model deployment and reporting capabilities, producing clear and effective visualisations for stakeholders

    * Support the integration of MBSE models with wider organisational tools and systems

    * Prepare, analyse, and report on performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement

    * Engage with stakeholders across the business, including senior leaders and subject matter experts

    * Develop and implement verification and validation strategies to ensure:

    * Accuracy

    * Traceability

    * Reliability of engineering data and analysis

    * Maintain and support SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and accuracy

    Key Skills & Experience

    * Strong experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

    * Proven ability to manage and maintain complex engineering models

    * Experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualisation tools

    * Proficiency in SQL and database management

    * Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

    * Experience developing verification and validation strategies within engineering environments

    * Ability to work effectively within highly regulated or secure environments
