How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Repairs Administrator

    Location- Brentwood

    Salary - Up to £40k

    Fortus Recruitment provides specialist recruitment services, supplying quality candidates on a temporary or permanent basis to leading organisations throughout the industry.

    We are currently working with a leading contractor who is looking for a Senior Repairs Administrator to join their responsive repairs team in Brentwood.

    This is a permanent position focused on managing workflow, delivering excellent customer service, overseeing a team of up to 15 administrators/planners, and ensuring operational KPIs are consistently achieved within a fast-paced repairs and maintenance environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Managing day-to-day workflow within the responsive repairs team
    Leading, supporting, and motivating a team of up to 15 staff members
    Monitoring and tracking KPIs to ensure service delivery targets are achieved
    Delivering a high standard of customer service and resolving escalated queries
    Managing repairs administration processes from job allocation through to completion
    Liaising with operatives, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth service delivery
    Ensuring works are scheduled efficiently and completed within agreed timescales
    Producing reports and analysing performance data to identify improvements
    Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
    Supporting senior management with operational and performance reporting
    Ensuring compliance with company procedures and service level agreements
    Skills & Experience

    Previous experience within a Senior Administrator, Repairs Administrator, or Planning role
    Experience working within responsive repairs, social housing, or maintenance environments
    Proven experience managing or supervising teams
    Strong understanding of KPI management and service performance monitoring
    Excellent customer service and communication skills
    Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
    Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
    Confident using Microsoft Office and internal scheduling systems
    Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
