How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    As a result, they are looking for an individual who is not only commercially strong but also open to embracing new technologies and ways of working within the construction industry.

    The Role

    As Estimator, you will play a key role within the pre-construction team, taking responsibility for preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting the successful delivery of luxury residential developments.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions

    * Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation

    * Produce bills of quantities and cost plans

    * Identify value engineering opportunities where appropriate

    * Liaise closely with clients, architects, suppliers, and the wider project team

    * Assist with procurement, budgeting, and project forecasting

    * Work with modern systems and AI-supported processes to improve efficiency and accuracy

    Requirements

    * Previous experience as an Estimator within the construction industry

    * Experience within high-end residential projects is highly desirable

    * Strong understanding of new builds, extensions, and refurbishment works

    * Excellent numerical, commercial, and analytical skills

    * Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

    * Strong communication and organisational skills

    * Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office

    * Positive attitude towards innovation and technology within construction

    * Must be willing to embrace the use of AI and modern systems within the role

    What’s on Offer

    * Opportunity to join a growing and highly respected family-run contractor

    * Clear pathway for career progression as the business continues to expand

    * Exposure to prestigious high-end residential projects

    * Modern, forward-thinking working environment

    * Competitive salary and package

    * Long-term stability and development opportunities

    If you are an Estimator looking to join an ambitious and innovative contractor with exciting growth plans, we would love to hear from you
