How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Valuing variations and change orders.

Preparing interim valuations and applications for payment.

Monitoring project costs, risks, and profitability.

Producing cost reports and presenting findings to senior management.

Managing final accounts with clients and subcontractors.

    Identifying and mitigating commercial risks.

Supporting project teams with commercial advice and guidance.

Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.

    What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract, including JCT and NEC.

Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills.

Experience in subcontract procurement and contract administration.

Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

    Strong negotiation and communication skills.

    Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant commercial software.

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred).

    Personal Qualities

    Highly organised and detail-oriented.

    Proactive and commercially driven.

    Confident communicator and relationship builder.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

    Calm and effective under pressure.

    Why Join Us?

Join a respected and growing contractor with an excellent reputation.

Work on a varied portfolio of exciting construction projects.

Genuine opportunities for career progression and professional development.

    Supportive and collaborative team environment.
