How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Vehicle Technician / Mechanic - Bradford

    - Up to £35,000 OTE (Depending on experience and qualifications)
    - Full-Time | Permanent
    - Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, plus alternate Saturday mornings

    About the Role

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a successful and growing automotive group in Bradford.

    This role is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and enjoys working within a professional and supportive workshop environment.

    You will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and vehicle preparation to the highest standards, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and safely.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Perform routine servicing and maintenance

    * Carry out mechanical repairs and fault diagnosis

    * Conduct vehicle health checks (VHCs)

    * Prepare vehicles to a high standard

    * Complete MOT testing (if qualified)

    * Ensure all work complies with health and safety procedures

    * Maintain accurate job records and documentation

    Candidate Requirements

    To be considered, you should have:

    * IMI Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

    * At least 2 years' experience in the motor trade

    * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

    * Good communication and teamwork abilities

    * A proactive and reliable approach to work

    Desirable (but not essential)

    * MOT Tester licence

    * IMI Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicles

    * IMI F-Gas qualification

    * Main dealer or franchised dealership experience
