How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Residential Property Senior Associate/Partner | 7+ PQE | Chichester


    A long-established South East law firm, with deep local roots and a full-service offering, is looking for a 7+ PQE Residential Property lawyer to join its Chichester office at Senior Associate or Partner level. The firm has been serving Sussex for over 150 years, and its residential property team is a core part of its success.


    Day to day

    • You will run a full residential property caseload: sales, purchases, leasehold, new build, rural property, and auction work, with the backing of a team that handles hundreds of transactions a year
    • You will work alongside the Head of Property and other senior partners, attending local events, meeting estate agents and financial advisers, raising your profile in Chichester and across West Sussex
    • You will have genuine input into how the Chichester office grows, shaping processes, mentoring junior lawyers, and contributing to the firm's purpose led, client first approach


    What You Bring

    • 7+ years' PQE in residential property, with strong technical knowledge and a natural, client facing manner
    • A client following or local connections in the Chichester/Sussex area is advantageous
    • Alignment with a values led culture: authenticity, trust, collaboration, and a genuine care for client outcomes
