How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Our client is a well-established law firm that has been operating successfully for over 15 years, building a strong reputation within residential conveyancing through a personal and client-focused service. The firm places a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality legal work within a well structured, supportive environment that prioritises sustainable workloads and a healthy work life balance.


    The firm is committed to realistic caseload management, clear priorities, and ensuring fee earners have the time and support needed to maintain both accuracy and client service standards without excessive workload demands.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage a balanced caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion
    • Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and solicitors throughout transactions
    • Conduct property searches and obtain relevant documentation
    • Prepare and review contracts, transfer deeds, and other legal documentation
    • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
    • Provide clients with regular updates and clear, timely communication
    • Maintain accurate case records and documentation
    • Handle client queries in a professional and timely manner
    • Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure files progress smoothly and efficiently


    Key Skills:

    • 3+ years PQE in residential conveyancing
    • Confident IT skills with experience using conveyancing case management systems and electronic documentation
    • Strong ability to manage multiple cases in an organised and structured way, with support in place to maintain a sustainable workload
    • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to clients
    • Calm, methodical approach with a focus on quality and accuracy rather than volume
