How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

SEMH Teaching Assistant - KS2 - Rugby, Coventry and Warwickshire
If you're reading this, something probably prompted you to look. Maybe your current role is fine. Maybe it's more than fine. But you clicked anyway, which suggests the right opportunity might be enough to make you consider a move.
That's exactly who we want to hear from.
Primary schools across Rugby, Coventry, and Warwickshire are looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants who can support KS2 pupils with high-level SEMH and trauma-related needs. We're not only interested in people who are available right now. If you've got the right background and the right approach, we'd rather get to know you now so that when the right placement comes up, we can reach out and have a proper conversation.
No pressure to commit to anything. Just tell us a bit about your experience, and we'll take it from there.
    The kind of work involved
    * 1:1 and small group support for KS2 pupils with SEMH, trauma, or complex behavioural needs
    * Building calm, consistent relationships with pupils who may initially resist support
    * Working within agreed strategies and helping pupils through moments of dysregulation
    * Collaborating with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
    * Keeping clear records and communicating proactively when concerns arise
    * Adapting your approach to how a pupil is presenting on any given day
What schools in Rugby, Coventry, and Warwickshire are looking for
    * Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school - this is essential
    * Hands-on experience supporting pupils with SEMH, trauma, or high-level SEN
    * A calm, steady presence - someone who doesn't escalate and doesn't take behaviour personally
    * An understanding that behaviour is communication, and the patience to work with that
    * Training in Team Teach, Zones of Regulation, or similar would be welcomed but isn't always required
    * Someone reliable - because consistency is everything in this kind of role
    What you can expect
    * Full-time, Long-term placements with schools that take inclusion seriously
    * A SENCO and support structure you can actually lean on
    * Regular contact with us throughout your placement - you won't be left to get on with it alone
    * Competitive daily rates
    Why Sprint?
If you're looking to work as a teacher in a mainstream classroom, providing day-to-day supply cover, we're probably not the agency for you. But if you're passionate about supporting students with additional needs and want a long-term role where you can build consistency and see the impact of your work every day, that's exactly what we do.
    Next Steps
If you're looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference, register your interest today.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a school setting.
Sprint Education Recruitment is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
