How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £30,000-£40,000 per annum, DOE

    The Role
    As an AutoCAD Technician, you will work closely with engineers and external design professionals to prepare and coordinate technical drawings and project documentation.
    This role would suit someone who is confident working independently, has strong AutoCAD experience, and enjoys contributing to technically varied projects within a consultancy setting.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Producing accurate and detailed AutoCAD drawings with minimal supervision
    • Assisting with the preparation and coordination of technical project documentation
    • Working collaboratively with engineers, architects, planning consultants, and clients
    • Ensuring all drawings and documentation meet company standards and procedures
    • Managing workloads effectively and working to project deadlines
    • Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of internal CAD systems and processes
    • Attending site meetings, inspections, and dimensional surveys where required
    • Maintaining awareness of industry standards, software developments, and best practice
    • Representing the business professionally during meetings and project discussions
    About You
    We are looking for someone with strong technical drafting experience who is organised, proactive, and committed to delivering high standards of work.
    Essential Skills & Experience
    • Minimum 3 years’ AutoCAD experience within a similar role
    • Strong technical drawing and detailing capability
    • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
    • Good organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
    • Full UK driving licence
    Desirable
    • Experience using Revit, Civil 3D, or Tekla Structural Designer
    • Qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
    • Membership of ICE or IStructE
