How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Commissioning Engineer (HVAC)

    £30,000 - £42,000 + Company Vehicle + £200 Expenses + 36 Days Holiday + Monday to Friday + Fuel Card
    Northwest England, Ideally Located: Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Blackburn, Stockport, Chester, Rochdale, Preston

    Are you a Commissioning Engineer with experience in HVAC, ventilation systems or critical environments, looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with strong progression, specialist technical work and excellent long-term career prospects?

    This is a great opportunity to join a specialist engineering services company working across HVAC, cleanroom and critical ventilation systems. You'll be carrying out commissioning, verification and validation works across healthcare, pharmaceutical and controlled environments, ensuring systems are fully compliant with HTM 03-01 and ISO standards.

    This company is experiencing increased workload and continued growth, offering long-term stability, structured CSA progression from Grade 1 through to Grade 6, and ongoing training within a highly technical and regulated sector.

    This role would suit a Commissioning Engineer or HVAC Technician with CSA grading (or equivalent experience), looking to develop technically and progress within a specialist engineering business.

    The Role

    Commissioning and verification of HVAC and ventilation systems
    Testing of operating theatres and critical ventilation systems (HTM 03-01)
    Cleanroom and aseptic unit validation to ISO 14644 standards
    Producing detailed technical reports and compliance documentation
    UK-wide travel to project sites (company vehicle provided)

    The Person

    CSA Grade 1-3 qualified (or strong HVAC/commissioning experience)
    Background in HVAC, ventilation or building services commissioning
    Strong understanding of air systems, ductwork or filtration systems
    Full UK Driving Licence required
    Experience in cleanrooms, healthcare or regulated environments desirable
    Motivated to progress through CSA grading structure (1-6)
