Newly qualified drivers are welcome – earn 80% of basic salary during probation, with full rate on completion.
Job Description
The Role
You’ll be responsible for transporting chilled food products (including cheese, juice, and yoghurts) using refrigerated and multi-temperature trailers.
Day-to-day includes:
RDC deliveries and collections
Drop-and-swap operations
Occasional self-tipping
Early morning and flexible start patternsShift Pattern & Pay
5 ON / 3 OFF rota (Days & Nights available)
💷 £42,205.36 basic salary
Shift Premiums:
Start between 12:00 – 19:59: +£10 per shift
Start between 20:00 – 03:59: +£15 per shiftOvertime Rates:
Monday–Friday: £17.24/hr
Saturday: £20.49/hr
Sunday: £23.30/hrAdditional Earnings:
Driver duty premium (11+ hour shifts)
Performance bonus
Night out allowance: £25 per night
Shift allowances (where applicable)⚠️ Please note: role involves planned and occasional unplanned night outs.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Valid LGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
Current CPC & Digital Tacho Card
Good knowledge of drivers’ hours & regulations
Strong communication and time management skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
