How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Business Studies Teacher

    Dacorum, Hertfordshire

    M1 – UPS3 (£34,398 – £52,490)

    Teach Now is seeking an ambitious and engaging Business Studies Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary setting from September 2026.

    This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced teacher or an ambitious ECT looking to develop within a collaborative and inclusive school environment that values high-quality teaching and staff development.

    The role is available on a part-time basis, with the opportunity for a full-time timetable for candidates who can teach or provide cover in an additional subject area.

    The Role

    The successful candidate will deliver engaging Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, helping students develop strong subject knowledge, confidence, and real-world understanding of business and enterprise.

    You will join a welcoming department with strong pastoral support and a commitment to raising achievement for all learners.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons across KS4 and KS5
    • Inspire and motivate students through engaging teaching
    • Create a positive and purposeful classroom environment
    • Support student progress and achievement
    • Contribute positively to the wider department and school community
    • Support an additional subject area where appropriate
    The Ideal Candidate

    • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    • Has experience teaching Business Studies within the UK curriculum
    • Strong subject knowledge and passion for business education
    • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
    • High expectations for student achievement and behaviour
