How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

EYFS Teaching Assistant – After School Club
    Haringey, North London
    Part-Time | Temporary Role
    £16–£17 per hour
    Hours: 3:30pm – 6:00pm
    Start Date: May 2026

A friendly and welcoming primary school in Haringey is looking for an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant after-school club team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with Early Years experience who enjoys creating fun, engaging experiences for young children in a relaxed and supportive environment. Youll be working alongside experienced staff supporting children aged 3–5 during after-school hours.

    The Role

The successful candidate will help provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where children can unwind, play, and socialise after the school day.

Youll support children with snack time, encourage positive play and interaction, and help keep children engaged with the wide range of resources and activities available — including access to a popular ball pit play area.

This role is ideal for a warm, energetic, and proactive individual who genuinely enjoys working with young children.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support children aged 3–5 within the after-school club setting
    • Help supervise and engage children through play-based activities
    • Assist children during snack and eating times
    • Encourage positive behaviour, social interaction, and independence
    • Ensure children are safe, happy, and actively engaged throughout the session
    • Work closely with experienced staff to maintain a nurturing environment
    • Support the smooth running of daily activities and routines
    Requirements

    • Previous experience working within an EYFS or childcare setting
    • A fun, energetic, and caring personality
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
    • Passion for supporting childrens development through play
    • Relevant childcare or Early Years qualification desirable
    What the School Offers

    • Warm and supportive staff team
    • Welcoming primary school environment
    • Well-resourced after-school provision
    • Opportunity to gain further experience within Early Years education
    • Positive and enjoyable working atmosphere
If you are passionate about working with young children and looking for a rewarding part-time role within a fantastic school community, we would love to hear from you.

Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are reserved for candidates with substantial experience and/or relevant training. Pay is determined in line with school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.
