Academics, a trusted and well-established education recruitment agency, is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the Caldicot area to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for a Year 3 class. This full-time, temporary position is ideal for someone who is passionate about working within Key Stage 2 and is committed to helping children reach their full potential through supportive and engaging classroom practice.
Your Role in Year 3:
Assist Year 3 pupils in accessing learning activities across the curriculum
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and planned interventions
Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and boost understanding
Help create a calm, positive, and productive classroom environment
Provide day-to-day classroom assistance across a range of tasksWhat You'll Need:
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
Experience working with children, ideally in a school environment
A good understanding of primary education, particularly Year 3 / Key Stage 2
Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English
A supportive, patient, and proactive approach to working with children
