How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Technical Sales Lead – Wastewater Industry

    We are working with a leading business within the wastewater sector to recruit an experienced Technical Sales Lead.
    This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled and commercially aware professional who enjoys working closely with customers to deliver effective wastewater solutions. The role combines technical expertise, account management, sales support, and customer relationship management within a growing and well-established business.

    The Opportunity
    As Technical Sales Lead, you will act as a key link between customers, engineers, operations, and the commercial team. You will provide technical guidance, support quotations and proposals, manage customer relationships, and help ensure projects and service solutions are delivered to the highest standard.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations both face-to-face and virtually
    • Provide technical support during the preparation of quotations and customer proposals
    • Manage and develop key customer accounts, acting as the primary contact for technical and service-related enquiries
    • Coordinate with operational, planning, and sales teams to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction
    • Support customers and engineers in identifying suitable products and system solutions
    • Collaborate with the wider sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical input
    • Contribute to product development discussions and recommend improved or alternative solutions
    • Assist in resolving technical and product-related issues effectively
    • Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions to help secure orders
    • Assist with customer feedback processes, reporting, and service reviews
    • Support marketing activity through the provision of technical content and case study material
    • Manage inbound enquiries and ensure requests are handled efficiently
    • Maintain and update service and maintenance agreement documentation accurately
    About You
    • Proven experience within the wastewater, utilities, engineering, or related technical sector
    • Strong technical understanding combined with commercial and customer-focused skills
    • Experience supporting sales functions and managing customer relationships
    • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
    • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
