This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 09:00 - 17:00, with flexibility required during peak periods. The role offers an annual salary up to £37,000.00 depending on skills and experience.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Responsible for promoting a strong safety culture across 2 sites, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies, and supporting safe working practices for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Monitor and maintain Health & Safety compliance across 2 sites
- Deliver inductions and site tours
- Create and review risk assessments
- Manage COSHH records and hazardous substances
- Conduct workplace inspections and ensure actions are completed
- Deliver safety training and briefings
- Maintain incident, accident, and near‑miss records
- Investigate incidents and support managers with follow‑up
- Chair Health & Safety committee meetings and support reporting
- Ensure adequate first aid and fire warden coverage
- Support safe contractor management and PPE compliance
- Assist with business continuity and emergency plans
Profile:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or IOSH working toward NEBOSH)
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation
- Confident in risk assessments, inspections, and investigations
- Strong communication and engagement skills at all levels
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities across 2 sites
- Training delivery experience (desirable)
- Dangerous Goods, COMAH, or auditing experience (desirable)
