How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Innovation Coach (Teaching & Learning) - GCSE Maths

    Ref: 2526/164

    Hours: 37 hours per week (1.0 fte)

    Salary: £46,333 per annum. Plus generous benefits. These include: 

    •    57 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures)

    About the role
    As an Innovation Coach (Teaching & Learning) for GCSE Maths, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening teaching, learning and assessment across the College. Working closely with the Learning and Innovation Lead, you will coach and support GCSE Maths teachers to deliver inspirational, high quality provision that leads to excellent student outcomes and positive value added results.

    You will act as a role model of best practice, supporting curriculum sequencing, innovative assessment strategies, and the effective use of digital approaches in learning. The role includes contributing to quality improvement activity such as professional development observations, KPI monitoring and CPD planning and delivery, while maintaining teaching credibility through a substantive teaching timetable in GCSE Maths (approximately 0.4 FTE). This is an influential role for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about developing others and creating a culture of continuous improvement.

    About the person
    We are looking for an experienced GCSE Maths professional with a strong track record of delivering high quality teaching and an excellent student experience. You will have experience coaching or mentoring colleagues and contributing to quality improvement within FE, alongside experience of designing and delivering impactful CPD.

    You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and hold a relevant teaching qualification at Level 5 or above, along with a Level 3 or higher qualification in Mathematics. You will bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to analyse and use data effectively, and a solutions focused mindset. Highly organised, approachable and resilient, you will be motivated by raising standards and supporting colleagues to be the best they can be.
