How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Manufacturing Engineer | £50,000+ | 33 Days Holiday | Early Friday Finish | Personal Development

    A Manufacturing Engineer opportunity has become available with a growing Birmingham based engineering manufacturer currently investing heavily in production capability, process improvement and automation across its manufacturing operations.

    With continued growth and long-term investment across the site, the business is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing performance, improve production efficiency and help drive Continuous Improvement activities within a fast-paced production environment. In return, the successful individual will receive a salary of up to £50,000, strong long-term stability, ongoing training and development opportunities, early Friday finishes and the chance to play a key role in future manufacturing improvements. Graduates and junior engineers are encouraged to apply.

    Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities include -

    Improving manufacturing efficiency, reliability, and output.
    Reducing production issues, waste, and downtime.
    Supporting Continuous Improvement and productivity projects.
    Improving manufacturing methods, layouts, and process flow.
    Creating SOPs, process documentation and training support.
    Supporting automation and new equipment installation projects.Manufacturing Engineer desirable skills and experience -

    2 years' experience within a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, or Production Engineer role.
    Background within high-volume manufacturing production environments.
    Experience using Lean Manufacturing, CI tools or problem solving techniques.Manufacturing Engineer benefits include -
