How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Electrical M&E Shift Engineer
    Location: South London
    Salary: Circa £48,000 per annum
    Working Hours: Continental Shift Pattern – Days & Nights (2s & 3s)

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical M&E Shift Engineer to join a facilities team working within a large, critical healthcare environment in South London.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically biased engineer looking to work within a technically demanding site, supporting essential building services in a 24/7 environment.

    The Role:

    • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across electrical and M&E systems.
    • Supporting maintenance across lighting, power and associated building services plant.
    • Diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently in a critical environment.
    • Working closely with the wider engineering team to ensure site uptime and compliance.
    • Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with site regulations and health & safety standards.

    Package:

    • Circa £48,000 basic salary
    • Continental shift pattern (days and nights – 2s & 3s)

    Requirements:

    • Electrical qualification – Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent).
    • 17th or 18th Edition accepted.

    • Ability to work effectively as part of a shift team.
