How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. to develop and deliver manufacturing processes for precision machined components across a range of materials. You will play a key part in New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, advising on Design for Manufacture (DfM), PPAP, GD&T, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Develop and implement lean manufacturing processes focused on quality, cost, and delivery.
    Create machining processes for complex components with tight tolerances using CAD/CAM tools (Siemens NX or Partmaker preferred).
    Select cutting tools, design fixtures, and produce shop documentation.
    Support APQP activities including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA studies.
    Lead and support process improvement projects, ensuring minimal downtime in the machine shop.
    Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design changes to enhance productivity and standardisation.
    Provide technical support to supply chain to ensure quality, cost, and delivery expectations are met.
    Mentor and support Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians in tooling, gauging, and fixture design.

    What We’re Looking For

    Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
    Significant experience in manufacturing/process engineering, ideally within aerospace or regulated environments.
    Strong knowledge of DFM, DFSS, APQP, Lean methodologies, and Zero Defects principles.
    Proven CNC programming expertise using 3D CAD/CAM (Partmaker/Featurecam preferred, Siemens NX10.0, Vericut).
    Experience of using sliding head machines (Star machines preferred not essential)
    Exposure to advanced processes such as EDM, honing, lapping, grinding, flow deburring, anodising, and heat treatment.
    Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and deliver practical solutions.
    Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the flexibility to support business objectives across teams.
