How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Construction Tutors Needed

    Location: Warwickshire

    Start Date: September Start

    Salary Range: £30-£35 per hour

    The following subject areas currently need Tutors

    -          Electrical Installations

    -          Carpentry and Joinery

    -          Plumbing

    -          Mult skills Construction

    -          Motor Vehicle 

    TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream college based in Warwickshire. The college provides high standards of education and has recently been awarded an ‘Good’ OFSTED rating. This thriving, modern and diverse place to study offers opportunities both inside and outside of lessons to promote student engagement, helping their young people to flourish both academically and personally.

    The successful Construction Tutor will be teaching passionate and focused students the skills necessary to pursue a career in the field.  The role will be paramount in helping students achieve excellent results, whilst following and implementing the schemes of learning.

    The successful Construction Tutor will have:

    -          Level 5 qualification or higher in construction, architecture, or related field, extensive industry experience will be considered

    -          Level 3 assessing qualification such as CAVA

    -          Level 3 City and Guilds in area of expertise

    -          GCSE Maths and English level 4 and above

    -          Excellent spoken and written communication skills

    -          Excellent understanding of current trends in construction

    -          Experience teaching in further education is desirable
