How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Provide operational support to maintain and enhance the traceability, accuracy, and integrity of measurement systems and calibrations used within the organisation.

    * Conduct and support internal and external calibration activities, ensuring adherence to relevant metrological standards and ISO 17025 requirements.

    * Assist in carrying out intercomparison activities and proficiency tests to ensure operational consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements.

    * Support the delivery of Flow Programme projects through accurate data analysis, uncertainty estimation, and metrological assessment of measurement processes.

    * Collaborate closely with technical teams to maintain robust metrological practices and implement improvements in measurement techniques and traceability management.

    * Support colleagues and operational teams by providing expertise and training in metrology, traceability, uncertainty analysis, and calibration methodologies.

    * Assist with maintaining accurate records of calibration, certification, and traceability data, ensuring compliance with established quality assurance procedures.

    * Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and technical documentation relating to metrological processes and instrumentation.

    * Contribute to the continuous improvement of operating practices, calibration procedures, and traceability systems by identifying opportunities to reduce uncertainty, optimise processes, and enhance efficiency.

    Essential criteria:

    * Experience or demonstrable understanding of metrology, calibration techniques and measurement uncertainty analysis.

    * Familiarity with flow measurement principles, traceability requirements and standards, including ISO 17025.

    * Strong analytical skills, particularly in data interpretation and uncertainty estimation.

    * Good working knowledge of quality assurance systems, calibration documentation and record management.

    * Ability to collaborate effectively within technical teams and clearly communicate technical information to non-specialists.

    * Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to developing technical competence and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

    * Understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to calibration and laboratory environments.

    * Experience with data analysis, automation or software development using tools such as Python, MATLAB, SQL, or C# / .NET would be beneficial.

At TÜV SÜD, we have employees from more than 100 different countries collaborating together. People of different backgrounds, skills, and pursuing different life goals. Our strength comes from these countless and varied perspectives.
