How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A leading construction consultancy in Manchester is looking to appoint a Project Manager to support a growing pipeline of industrial and logistics projects across the North West. This Project Manager role would suit an ambitious, client-facing Project Manager with prior consultancy experience and exposure to industrial sheds, distribution centres, logistics hubs, warehousing, or large-scale commercial schemes.

This Project Manager position is ideal for someone who is organised, commercially aware, and confident supporting projects through pre-construction, procurement, construction, and handover. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, developers, and internal cost management teams.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

    The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will support the delivery of industrial and distribution projects from inception through to completion, ensuring schemes are managed in line with programme, budget, quality, and client expectations.

The Project Manager will assist with project programmes, meeting coordination, design team management, procurement support, risk tracking, action management, contractor progress reviews, and client reporting. The Project Manager will also work alongside senior colleagues on larger schemes while taking ownership of key workstreams and smaller projects where appropriate.

    The Project Manager

The Project Manager will ideally have:

A degree in Construction Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related construction discipline
Previous experience working within a construction consultancy
Experience supporting industrial sheds, distribution centres, logistics, warehousing, or large commercial projects
Good knowledge of project programmes, procurement, reporting, and risk management
Knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement routes
Strong communication, organisation, and client-facing skills
A proactive, professional, and team-focused approach
APM, CIOB, RICS, or working towards a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous

    In Return?

    £40,000 - £55,000
    Pension contribution
    Professional development support
    Chartership support where applicable
Industrial, logistics, and distribution project exposure
Strong Manchester and North West project pipeline
Opportunity to join a growing team by the summer
Long-term progression within a leading consultancy
