About the Role
Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a Cover Supervisor. This role is available on a full-time, part-time, or flexible ad hoc supply basis, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking adaptable working arrangements.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising pre-set lessons in the absence of teaching staff. This is an ideal position for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals looking to develop their classroom experience within a supportive secondary school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers
Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students remain on task
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Supporting students with their learning and responding to any queries
Recording attendance and providing feedback to teaching staff
Requirements
Experience working with young people (in a school or similar setting) is desirable
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
A proactive and adaptable approach
A genuine passion for supporting education
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
