How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title – Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor
    Location – Erith
    Salary – £65,000
    Shift – Monday to Friday Days

    Job Role of the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

    An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to work for a blue-chip industrial manufacturing company within the heavy industrial engineering sector. The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will lead and support an experienced team of engineers to deliver the site maintenance programme effectively and efficiently.

    The successful Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing planned preventative maintenance schedules, reactive maintenance activities, and breakdown response across the factory. You will play a key role in driving engineering performance, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times.

    Sector – Factory Maintenance

    Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

    Mechanical management experience in within an industrial manufacturing environment.
    Previous experience managing or supervising engineering teams within a industrial manufacturing sector.

    Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

    Management Experience of Mechanical Techs or Engineers 
    Experience with engineering planning, compliance and safety 
    Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
    Mechanical Qualifications 

    Desirable Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

    Experience working within the UK manufacturing sector.
    Knowledge of continuous improvement and reliability engineering practices.
