How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We’re working with a well-established and fast-growing developer to recruit an experienced Technical Coordinator to join their Birmingham-based team.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to play a key role in the delivery of residential developments, coordinating technical design and ensuring projects progress smoothly from planning through to construction.

    Role

    As a Technical Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all technical aspects of multiple residential projects. You’ll work closely with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure designs are compliant, practical, and delivered on programme.

    Responsibilities

    Coordinate external consultants including architects, structural engineers, and M&E designers

    Manage the design process from planning through to construction and completion

    Review and approve technical drawings and specifications

    Ensure compliance with building regulations, planning conditions, and industry standards

    Resolve design and technical issues throughout the project lifecycle

    Liaise with site teams to ensure smooth delivery and buildability

    Monitor and manage technical budgets and programme milestones

    Support value engineering and cost-effective design solutions

    About you

    Experience in a Technical Coordinator or similar role within residential development or housebuilding

    Strong understanding of construction methods and building regulations

    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams

    Good knowledge of UK planning and approval processes

    Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

    Highly organised with strong attention to detail
