How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A well-established precision engineering and manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer to support ongoing growth and high-quality manufacturing operations.

    Precision Engineering/ CNC Manufacturing / Aerospace / Advanced Engineering
    Full Time | Permanent

    This is a hands-on role focused on manufacturing quality, customer liaison, inspection processes, and continuous improvement within a modern machining environment.

    The successful candidate will work closely with production, customers, and suppliers to ensure quality standards are maintained across complex machined components and assemblies.

    The Role

    Manage day-to-day manufacturing quality activities and support production teams
    Interpret engineering drawings and determine appropriate inspection methods
    Produce inspection reports and customer quality documentation
    Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints using 8D / 5 Why methodologies
    Support internal, supplier, and process audits
    Liaise directly with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related matters
    Assist with calibration systems and inspection equipment management
    Create quality control plans and manufacturing quality instructions
    Train operators on inspection methods and measurement equipment
    Support continuous improvement initiatives across quality and manufacturing processes
    About You

    Previous experience as a Quality Engineer within precision engineering or manufacturing
    Strong understanding of inspection techniques and engineering drawings
    Experience working within ISO 9001 or similar quality systems
    Good communication and problem-solving skills
    Mechanical engineering background or apprenticeship preferred
    Experience with CMM programming and PC-DMIS would be highly advantageous
    Desirable Experience

    CMM programming (Hexagon / PC-DMIS)
    Internal or supplier auditing
    Aerospace, defence, oil & gas, or high-specification manufacturing environments
    Quality documentation and customer reporting packs
