Job description
The main purpose of the role is to prepare surfaces for various paint and coatings applications.
Main Duties:
Filling, sanding, and smoothing surfaces that need to be sprayed.
Clean any contaminants, such as rust and dirt, using abrasive blasting equipment or other hand tools, ensuring smooth surface finishes to maximize adherence to protective coatings.
Apply standards and perform tasks independently, while coordinating with a team of coating application operatives.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols
Maintaining and cleaning equipment.
Maintaining and enhancing the appearance of the parts
Any other duties which may be reasonable required
Experience
Previous commercial vehicle prepping
Previous experience with hand tools
Shot blasting experience desirable
Strong attention to details
Ability to work on own initiative
Self-motivated and organised
