How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

A company handset is provided and on receipt of a call out the Responder will travel to the client and check what support is needed to make them safe and well. Duties and responsibilities will include:

    * Assess the situation upon arrival and co-ordinate an appropriate response/escalation procedure which may result in summoning further assistance or providing support to the customer

    * Respond to all emergency call outs within 45 minutes

    * Use key safe information to access service user’s homes

    * Activate the call equipment linked to the control centre to indicate arrival on site

    * Signpost the situation on site the get the Service User the support they need to make them safe and well

    * Maintain a line of communication between the responder and the control centre throughout the visit, where appropriate

    * Record details of visits, the incident and details of actions taken, and the relevant parties informed

There is no personal care involved.

The role is to work on a 3 days on and 6 days off on a twenty four hour rolling rota. This is a 24 hour service and call outs can be any time day or night. You will be an approachable and empathetic person who is flexible, committed and reliable. Experience in a social care or housing background would be an advantage though not essential for the right person.

A full driving license will be required, there is a pool car provided. For an ideal logistical fit you will live in the Morpeth/Cramlington/Ashington area.

The rate of pay is £103.44 per day regardless if you attend any call outs (daily shift allowance £52.60 plus 3 guaranteed hours at £12.71 per hour). Any over time is paid at £12.71 per hour and bank holidays are paid at enhanced rates.
