How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Commercial Gas Installation Engineer

    Location: Fareham
    Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

    The Role

    Marble Talent Group are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Installation Engineer on behalf of a well-established company based in Fareham.

    This is a hands-on installation-focused role, ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in commercial gas installations, plant room upgrades, pipework, commissioning, and system upgrades across commercial sites.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality installation work across a variety of commercial environments while maintaining excellent standards of safety, workmanship, and customer service.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Carry out commercial gas installations, upgrades, and replacement works

    * Install commercial boilers, heating systems, plant room equipment, and associated pipework

    * Complete first and second fix installation work to a high standard

    * Commission newly installed commercial gas systems and equipment

    * Diagnose and resolve installation-related issues on site

    * Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

    * Ensure all works are completed in line with current gas regulations and health & safety requirements

    * Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and other trades on site

    * Work independently and as part of a wider installation team

    Requirements

    Candidates must hold relevant commercial gas qualifications, including:

    * CCN1 – Core Domestic Gas Safety

    * CEN1 – Domestic Central Heating Boilers

    * COCN1 – Core Commercial Gas Safety

    * CODNCO1 – Changeover Domestic to Commercial

    * ICPN1 – First Fix Pipe Installation (<75mbar)

    * TPCP1A – Test and Purge

    * CENWAT – Boilers & Water Heating Appliances

    * CIGA1 – Indirect Fired Heating Appliances

    * CDGA1 – Direct Fired Heating Appliances

    Additional Requirements

    * Proven experience in commercial gas installation work

    * Experience working on plant rooms and commercial heating systems

    * Strong pipework and commissioning experience

    * Ability to work from drawings and technical specifications

    * Full UK driving licence (preferably clean)
