How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    QUALITY TECHNOLOGIST

    Wardle, Nantwich

    Up to £38,000

Join a Business Where Culture Comes First and Quality Drives Everything.

Some businesses grow quickly and lose what made them special. This business made the decision not to. Despite operating from a strong market position, backed by an impressive manufacturing facility, loyal customers and an exceptionally hard-working workforce, the leadership team chose to protect the company’s culture rather than aggressively expand.

Why? Because they understood that the family feel, the togetherness and the people are the foundation of the business’s success. That mindset still defines the company today.

It’s a close-knit environment where people support one another, standards matter, and individuals are genuinely trusted to make an impact. Teams work collaboratively, successes are shared, and there’s a strong sense of pride across the site in maintaining the reputation the business has built through quality, consistency and customer satisfaction. This is the type of company where people stay because they feel valued. And now, due to continued success, they are looking to strengthen their Quality team with the addition of a proactive and driven

    The Role

This is a hands-on, highly visible role within the Quality Department of a successful food manufacturing and blending facility. You’ll play a key role supporting blending operations while also providing technical support across packing and warehouse activities. The position offers genuine variety, responsibility and involvement in the day-to-day quality performance of the site.

You won’t be sitting behind a desk all day. You’ll be out in the operation, working closely with production teams, maintaining standards, solving problems, improving processes and helping ensure the business continues to deliver the high-quality products and service levels its customers expect. The role would suit someone who enjoys ownership, takes pride in standards and wants to be part of a business where their contribution is genuinely recognised.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Supporting quality standards across blending, packing and warehouse operations
    • Implementing and maintaining GMP, HACCP and BRCGS standards
    • Ensuring compliance with QMS procedures and site standards
    • Conducting routine quality checks and production surveillance
    • Product and ingredient sampling and on-site analysis
    • Environmental, microbiological and water sampling
    • Leading internal GMP, hygiene and fabrication audits
    • Supporting customer and 3rd party audits
    • Investigating non-conformances and customer complaints
    • Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
    • Contributing to food safety risk assessments and HACCP activities
    • Developing SOPs and supporting continuous improvement projects
    • Delivering quality and compliance training across the business
    • Supervising a small team of Quality Technicians and covering shifts in holiday periods.
    • Deputising for the Group Quality Manager when required

    Essential Candidate Requirements

    • Previous experience within a quality role in a food manufacturing environment.
    • Experience supporting BRCGS and other 3rd party audits.
    • Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
    • Formal qualification in Food Technology, Quality or Hygiene (HND level or equivalent)

    The Offer

    • Competitive salary of up to £38,000 depending on experience
    • Ongoing training and development opportunities to support long-term progression
    • A genuinely supportive team environment within a business known for its strong reputation and people-first culture
    • Regular social events and team activities that reinforce the company’s close-knit, family feel
    • Opportunities to get involved in volunteer and charity initiatives actively supported by the business
    • Free medical support available after 6 months of employment
    • Free eye tests after 6 months of employment
    • Contributory company pension scheme with 4% employee / 5% employer contribution
    • non-contractual rewards scheme where top performers have achieved bonuses of up to £1,200
    • 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays, alongside an early finish every Friday — because the business genuinely values work-life balance and understands the importance of rewarding the people who help drive its success

    Working Hours (Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm / Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm) - Shift covers for holidays

    Why This Opportunity Stands Out

Alongside the technical challenge and career progression opportunities, what really makes this business different is its culture. The company has built a loyal, long-standing workforce by creating an environment where people feel respected, supported and involved. The business continues to succeed because it has never compromised on the values that made it successful in the first place.

You’ll be trusted to manage your workload, contribute ideas and become an important part of the wider team. The environment suits people who naturally get involved, support others and genuinely care about the standards they deliver.
