Steel Fixer

We are looking for experienced Steel Fixers to support the delivery of a major rail station infrastructure project involving reinforced concrete and structural civils works.

Duties will include:

* Fixing reinforcement steel for:

* Lift pits

* Retaining walls

* LB beams

* Pre-cast concrete units

* Foundations and structural concrete elements

* Reading and interpreting reinforcement drawings and bending schedules

* Cutting, bending and tying steel reinforcement to specification

* Installing mesh, cages, dowels and starter bars

* Working closely with shuttering carpenters and concrete gangs

* Ensuring reinforcement is positioned correctly before concrete pours

* Maintaining high standards of health, safety and quality on site

Requirements:

* Blue CSCS Card – Steel Fixer

* Proven experience on RC frames or heavy civils projects

* Ability to read and work from reinforcement drawings

* Experience with large structural pours and retaining structures

* PTS preferred

* Strong understanding of safe lifting and manual handling procedures
