How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you experienced in working directly with Children and Families and seeking your next opportunity? Look no further!

    We are collaborating with a Local Authority in Trafford, as they are in search of a Family Contact Worker to join their Children and Families Team!

    In this role, you will be required to carry a caseload of vulnerable children and young people (0-16 aged) and their families that requires supervised contact, to ensure safeguarding of the children and young people is apriority at all times.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Facilitating family contact sessions, conducting home visits, and working directly with children.
    Plan and hold contact sessions for cases children and young people who are looked after by the Local Authority in either the Contact Centre in Trafford, in the community, or outside of the borough as required.
    Organise and co-ordinate contacts activities e.g. cinema within the community ensuring that appropriate Risk Assessments are in place and adhered to.
    Attend Court to give evidence on the nature of contact sessions, the level of attachment and the relationship between the child and parent/significant other when required.Requirements:

    Relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g., NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC, Early Years, Childcare, Health and Social Care, Youth and Community Studies).About Spencer Clarke Group:
