How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    This role will provide a comprehensive professional inspection service in respect on the main contractors works across this High security site

    About the role:
    This job itself offers real variety and involvement in a wide range of construction packages; your day-to-day work includes inspecting areas that are about to be completed
    To ensure the areas are to standard / quality in the specifications and ensuring compliance of the works are acceptable for handover to the highest quality, you will be opening up
    Live areas and of course once successfully identified as passing quality getting them handed over with the team .

    Main duties and responsibilities:

    * Inspection, written specification and ordering of works in line with the specification.
    * Supervision of small works with internal and external contractors
    * Ensure that works are carried out to the right specification with the right materials and fit for purpose
    * Supervise work on site, issuing instructions that could have financial consequences and stopping works if necessary
    * Writing general specifications for contracted work
    * Responsible for collating any issues and concerns in relation to work on site and provision of written reports for the Project Managers /Supervising officers

    About you:
    You should be able to demonstrate a range of skills required for QA / Inspection of Building works , covering the professional, contract and administrative aspects of day-to-day work. We need you to be a good communicator with a proven background in construction, and project management ideally on high security MOD or MOJ projects.

    Specific requirements:

    * Good understanding of building pathology
    * Working knowledge of all form's construction, including M&E services.
    * Practical understanding of standard forms of contract, how they are to be applied during a construction project.
    * Working knowledge of contract management and administration.
    * ONC/OND or higher in building construction or time served trades Background

    Working with the client-side team you will be making sure the main contractor works across the site are to standard and using you considerable construction knowledge you will be able to make reports on any areas that have not passed as to what will be required to get them up to Quality and passed for the client .

    This is a once in a generation project and this would suit an expected ex PM/ Contracts Manager M+E Manager / Building services Manager or Senior Site Manager that has lots of experienced and high-quality stands but does not want to be on just another site getting contractual as the whole team here will be pulling in the same direction .to get the job done right first time .
