How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About the Role:

As a BMS Engineer within CBRE's GWS business, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, efficiency, and sustainability of a key client site in Stevenage. Your technical expertise will directly contribute to enhancing building performance and supporting a best-in-class customer experience across the high-profile location.

    What You'll Do:
Act as the BMS champion for the dedicated site, with full accountability for system performance, reliability, and compliance.
Operate, monitor, and optimise Building Management Systems to ensure critical building infrastructure is maintained at peak performance.
Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond effectively to reactive tasks, minimising downtime and operational risk.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and energy performance.
Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, internal teams, and specialist vendors to ensure seamless service delivery.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor on BMS-related matters.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
    What You'll Need:
We are seeking a motivated and technically competent BMS professional who thrives in a client-facing environment and is committed to delivering excellence.

Demonstrable experience working with BMS platforms, ideally Siemens Desigo CC and/or Schneider EcoStruxure.
Strong technical understanding of building systems, controls, and automation.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted working relationships.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider engineering team.

    Why CBRE
When you join CBRE, you become part of the global leader in commercial real estate services and investment that helps businesses and people thrive. We are dynamic problem solvers and forward-thinking professionals who create significant impact. Our collaborative culture is built on our shared values - respect, integrity, service and excellence - and we value the diverse perspectives, backgrounds and skillsets of our people.
