How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Press Brake Machinist

    Loughborough
    £14.00 – £17.25 per hour DOE
    Afternoon Shift – Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm

    Engineering @ 365 is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a specialist manufacturing business based in Loughborough. Due to continued growth and increased production demand, they are looking to add an experienced Press Brake Machinist to their afternoon shift team.

    The Role

    This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Press Brake Machinist with experience setting and operating press brake machinery within a manufacturing environment.

    The successful candidate will be confident with machine set-up, tooling changes, and editing programmes directly at the machine. You will be producing precision components to engineering specifications while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Set up and operate press brake machinery safely and efficiently

    * Edit and adjust tooling and machine settings as required

    * Carry out online editing of programmes at the machine

    * Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

    * Manufacture components to precise tolerances and quality standards

    * Perform routine quality checks and inspections on finished parts

    * Work closely with production and engineering teams to meet manufacturing targets

    * Maintain a clean, organised, and safety-compliant work area

    Requirements

    * Previous experience operating and setting press brake machines

    * Ability to edit programmes and adjust tooling confidently

    * Experience with online programme editing on machinery is advantageous

    * Strong understanding of engineering drawings and measurements

    * High attention to detail and commitment to quality

    * Reliable and proactive approach to work

    * Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
