How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Hays Education is recruiting on behalf of a leading special educational needs (SEN) school in Wirral that provides outstanding support for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). This specialist school is known for its inclusive approach, expert staff, and commitment to delivering high-quality education for students with complex needs. The school offers a safe, nurturing environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential.

    Your New Job

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join this PMLD school on a full-time basis from September 2025. This is a temporary teaching role with the strong potential to become permanent, depending on performance and fit within the team. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a highly personalised and sensory-based curriculum to students with complex learning and physical needs. You will work closely with a team of teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to ensure each pupil receives a holistic and engaging education tailored to their individual needs.What you'll need to succeedIn order to register with Hays Education for SEND teaching jobs, you must:

    Hold UK qualified teacher status
    Have recent and relevant experience working within a classroom that we can reference
    Have relevant experience (either personal or professional) working with SEN children
    Be an approachable and patient teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations.
    Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to quickly build effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues
