How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title - BIM Technician
    Start Date - Ideally start of June
    Duration - 6 Month Contract (potential for extension)
    Working Model - Onsite in Sheffield (Once trained may be some opportunity for hybrid)
    Hourly Rate - Circa £30p/hour

    BIM Technician Overview
    My client is seeking a BIM Technician to support the delivery of specialist laboratory and technical facility projects across the research, health care, education, and industrial sectors.

    You will be responsible for producing and maintaining accurate 3D BIM models and Revit drawings, ensuring all design information is fully coordinated and kept up to date throughout the project life cycle. Working closely with design and engineering teams, you will help ensure smooth collaboration and consistency across all project information.

    The BIM Technician role will involve:

    Producing and maintaining accurate 3D BIM models and Revit drawings
    Supporting the delivery of specialist laboratory and technical facility projects across research, healthcare, education, and industrial sectors
    Ensuring all design information is fully coordinated and kept up to date throughout the project lifecycle
    Working closely with design and engineering teams to ensure consistency across all project information
    Supporting the successful delivery of complex, high-quality design projects from concept through to completion
    The BIM Technician will need to have the following attributes:

    Strong experience producing and maintaining 3D BIM models and Revit drawings
    Experience working within design teams on technical or complex building projects
    Ability to manage and update the BIM model and project Revit drawings
    Experience with construction platforms such as Asite, Aconex, or 4Projects would be advantageous
    Ability to manage workload and contribute to projects through all stages of delivery
