Academics are currently recruiting confident, enthusiastic, and reliable Cover Supervisors to join our supply team, working across mainstream secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, and Cheshire.

This flexible opportunity is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to build classroom experience, enjoy a better work-life balance, or return to work on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:

Supervise whole classes during the absence of the class teacher
Deliver pre-planned lesson materials across a variety of secondary subjects
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
Support students in staying engaged and on task throughout lessons
Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times
Build positive relationships with students and staff across the schoolFor this role, applicants who apply must have:

UK-based experience working with young people in a school, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work etc
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Confidence leading and supervising groups of students independently
A good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade 4/C or above preferred)
An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within education settings
