How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Renewable Installations Electrician (Team Lead)

    Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid) Salary: £50,000–£55,000 + Progression + Training + Benefits Job Type: Full‑time Work Location: Hybrid remote (Milton Keynes MK14)

    About Our Client

    Our client is a rapidly expanding international renewable energy technology company near Milton Keynes. They design and supply their own solar inverters, battery storage systems, and smart energy platforms, and are now building fully integrated systems including solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps, and smart energy solutions.

    They are establishing an in‑house UK installation division, initially delivering ECO4, social housing retrofit, and funded decarbonisation projects, later expanding into private and commercial work.

    This is a rare opportunity to join a manufacturer at scale‑up stage, with clear progression into technical, design, supervisory, and management roles.

    The Role

    You will install and support full renewable energy systems, including:

    Solar PV

    Battery storage

    Heat pumps

    Smart energy management systems

    The role covers domestic, retrofit, and funded programmes, with UK‑wide travel (primarily London region).

    Initially hands‑on, the role will evolve into:

    *

    System design support

    *

    Compliance and quality oversight

    *

    Supervising installation teams

    *

    Supporting MCS‑compliant delivery

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    Install, commission, and test solar PV and battery systems

    *

    Conduct site surveys and technical assessments

    *

    Assist with system design and planning

    *

    Complete commissioning documentation and installation reports

    *

    Support ECO4 and social housing retrofit delivery

    *

    Ensure compliance with PAS 2030/2035, PAS 63100, BS 7671

    *

    Assist with DNO applications (G98/G99)

    *

    Carry out diagnostics and fault finding

    *

    Provide technical support to installation teams

    *

    Help develop installation standards and procedures

    *

    Work closely with project managers and retrofit coordinators

    *

    Contribute to building a high‑performing installation division

    We’re Looking For

    NVQ Level 3 qualified electrician

    Proven solar PV and battery installation experience

    Experience in ECO4, social housing, or funded retrofit schemes

    Strong understanding of PAS standards and BS 7671

    Interest in system design and technical progression

    Comfortable working in retrofit environments

    Confident working with coordinators, housing associations, and scheme partners

    Ambitious and motivated to grow into a leadership role

    Mandatory Requirements

    18th Edition (BS 7671)

    Inspection & Testing (2391/2394/2395)

    ECS Gold Card

    Full UK driving licence

    Right to work in the UK

    Ability to complete electrical certification

    Willingness to travel across the UK

    Health & Safety Requirements

    ECS or CSCS card

    Experience working with RAMS

    Safe working at height

    Strong understanding of PPE and site safety

    Electrical isolation and safe testing competence

    Desirable Certifications

    Working at Height

    Manual Handling

    Asbestos Awareness

    First Aid at Work
