How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Director – High Rise Residential

    📍 Birmingham City Centre
    💰 £120,000 – £130,000 + Excellent Package

    A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a landmark £100m high-rise residential development in the heart of Birmingham.

    This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a major city-centre scheme from construction through to completion, working with an established contractor known for delivering complex residential and mixed-use projects across the UK.

    The Role

    As Project Director, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic delivery, and successful execution of this flagship development. You will oversee all operational, commercial, and programme aspects of the project while managing senior site teams and key stakeholder relationships.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead the delivery of a £100m high-rise residential scheme

    * Manage project teams including Construction Managers, Project Managers, and commercial staff

    * Ensure programme, quality, health & safety, and commercial objectives are achieved

    * Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors

    * Drive performance across all phases of the build lifecycle

    * Provide leadership and direction to ensure successful project outcomes

    * Report directly to senior board-level stakeholders

    Requirements

    * Proven experience delivering large-scale high-rise residential developments for a main contractor

    * Strong track record managing projects valued at £50m+

    * Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills

    * Extensive knowledge of construction delivery, programme management, and commercial awareness

    * Stable career history within reputable main contractors

    * Experience overseeing complex city-centre developments is highly desirable
