Pastoral Teaching Assistant - SEND School

💷 £110-£120 per day (depending on experience)

We are looking for a caring, resilient and confident Pastoral Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a SEND school in the Manchester/Salford area. This is a rewarding role supporting children with additional needs, behavioural challenges and social/emotional development.

The role will involve:

Providing pastoral and classroom support to pupils with SEND
Delivering 1:1 support and small group interventions
Supporting behaviour management and emotional wellbeing
Assisting with personal care where required
Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
Helping pupils engage with learning and daily routines
Working closely with teachers and support staffWhat we're looking for:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
Transferable skills welcomed including support work, care work, youth work, mentoring, coaching, residential care, psychology graduates, sports coaching, and childcare experience
