Management Accountant

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Buntingford who are recruiting for a Management Accountant on a full-time basis, for an initial 12-month contract. This is a fully office-based role, and you will ideally be part-qualified with experience in a similar accounting position. This is a varied opportunity within a fast-paced environment, supporting both the transactional and month-end accounting function.

Typical duties include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting with month-end processes

• Completing bank reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies

• Supporting the transactional finance function including purchase and sales ledger where required

• Assisting with accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations

• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the accounting system is up to date

• Supporting cashflow monitoring and daily banking activities

• Working closely with the wider finance team to support day-to-day accounting operations

• Assisting with reporting and analysis to support business decision making

• Supporting year-end processes and audit preparation where required

• Providing general accounting support across the finance department

You will have:

• Previous experience within a management accounting or general finance role

• Ideally be studying towards ACCA/CIMA or be part-qualified

• A proactive and hands-on approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
