Typical duties include:
• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Managing transactional accounting duties including purchase and sales ledger oversight
• Completing bank reconciliations and ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date
• Preparing accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow reporting
• Working closely with external accountants and advisors to ensure compliance requirements are met
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes including audit preparation where required
• Reviewing and improving accounting processes and financial controls
• Providing hands-on support across the finance function alongside the Finance Coordinator
• Assisting with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business growth
You will have:
• Fully qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA status
• Previous experience within a hands-on accounting role, ideally within an SME or start-up environment
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to work across both transactional and reporting duties
• A proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with external accountants and internal stakeholders
